In honor of the 170th anniversary of the partnership between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co., Patek Philippe has launched a limited-edition Nautilus featuring a Tiffany Blue dial. One of them just sold for over $6.5 million at a Phillips auction in New York. The other pieces are exclusively available in Tiffany boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco for a retail price of $52,635. Time will tell how many records this highly limited edition will break.

This new Patek Philippe watch with its Tiffany blue dial is a match made in luxury watch heaven. After all, what could be better than a collaboration between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co.?

Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co.: 170 Years of History

Back in 1851, the watchmaker Patek Philippe chose Tiffany & Co. as its first retail partner in the US. At the time, Tiffany & Co. had one store in downtown Manhattan. This was the start of a very successful, long-lasting partnership between the watch and jewelry brands that would go on for more than a century and a half, and continues today.

This Patek Philippe Nautilus with the Tiffany blue dial has the global watch aficionado community abuzz. With a limited production run of just 170 pieces sold exclusively in just three Tiffany stores (New York, San Francisco, and Beverly Hills), the new Patek Philippe Nautilus is going to be hard to come by, even with a price tag of $52,635.

Tiffany Blue Dials: Not Only for Patek Watches

What’s so compelling about Tiffany blue? Well, company founder Charles Lewis Tiffany first used it for the cover of the “Blue Book” catalog back in 1845. According to Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, “the moment you set your eyes upon Tiffany’s cool and fresh aquatic blue shade – a color that speaks to vibrancy and escape – you are immediately transported into a world filled with luxury and delight.” The color has become virtually synonymous with the finer things in life.

Luckily for lovers of watches with this iconic color (probably best described a very close to a robin’s egg), watches with turquoise-ish blue dials are available from other brands on Chrono24. This dial color is equally suited for both men’s and women’s watches, in styles ranging from sporty to elegant.

Our Top Watches With Tiffany Blue Dials

The Omega De Ville: A pioneer of Tiffany blue dials.

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five in bronze is an excellent example of a decidedly rugged men’s watch with a turquoise dial. It’s a true diver’s timepiece, with a water resistance of 100 meters (328 ft) and a rotating diving bezel.

On the more luxurious side for ladies is the Parmigiani Fleurier 1950 Tonda Pomellato. A diamond-set rose gold bezel surrounds its turquoise blue dial. Parmigiani Fleurier’s exceptional watchmaking prowess combined with the iconic Tiffany color make for a clear winner.

Another standout watch in Tiffany blue is the Zenith Elite Ultra-Thin Moon Phase Ladies. This watch combines a diamond-studded bezel with a popular moon phase complication in a distinctly feminine style.

Of course, we would be remiss not to mention Rolex timepieces here. The brand has multiple watches featuring iconic blue dials. For men, there are Oyster Perpetuals with a Tiffany blue dial in 36 and 41 mm sizes. For ladies, sizes 34 mm and smaller will fit the bill.

Omega’s vintage De Ville timepieces can also be found fitted with the iconic blue dial.

Whatever your choice of timepiece, this dial color will be sure to please.
