Like many model diving watches, the Divers Sixty-Five is inspired by an earlier model, especially when it comes to the design. Both the indices and steeply domed sapphire crystal glass hearken back to the model from the 1960s. Oris is clearly attempting to unite the past with modernity in terms of design and technology. While the use of artificially aged indices and luminous material on the blue dial might not be every watch fan’s cup of tea, it’s meant to give the watch a bit of retro charm.
